As of Facebook's and Instagram's recent update, they now require users who want to use any third party application to switch to an Instagram business account and connect that to a Facebook page. This is a requirement by Facebook/Instagram (not Greatly Social). Please keep in mind this Facebook page does not have to be active or display any personal information, it can just be there in order to connect to your Facebook page.
Greatly Social’s connection to social networks like Instagram and Facebook grants us permission to publish posts, collect content, display analytics, and more. If you have an Instagram business or creator profile, you’ll need to connect it to a Facebook Page and grant us permissions through Facebook. Facebook owns Instagram and requires this.
The following features require you to connect your Instagram profile to a Facebook Page and grant us the right permissions:
• Auto Publish for Instagram business profiles
• Visual Instagram Planner
• Search by Hashtag
• Collect from Tags
• Add Location for Instagram posts
• Most analytics
If you don’t connect your Instagram profile to a Facebook Page, you won’t be able to use the Greatly Social or any other third party app's features mentioned above. If your connection is expired, you’ll need to refresh your connection to continue using the features above. We recommend connecting your Instagram profile to a Facebook Page to take advantage of all that Greatly Social has to offer.
